Shannon Murphy is a Senior Analyst in the Population Health Research and Development Department at Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC (JHHC). She is responsible for the design, implementation, management and communication of results for large-scale evaluations of population health initiatives. Since joining JHHC in 2007, Shannon’s primary focus has been measuring cost savings for care management programs (i.e., complex case management, disease management, maternity) and developing data-driven targeting algorithms for program outreach. Shannon has been employed in the field of program evaluation and statistics since 2000. Prior to JHHC, she implemented and evaluated school-based behavior modification programs for The Urban Institute. She has also worked at the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) where she monitored regional drug trends and evaluated substance abuse and mental health treatment programs. She earned her M.A. from the University of Maryland and her B.S. from the University of California, San Diego.
